I am using iTunes and trying to update the mp3 feed crashes iTunes. Anybody else have this problem.
Have you upgraded to the latest iTunes? Windows or Mac? I always verify the feed is working with iTunes (on both platforms) before publishing the episodes.
Did you manually enter in the feed URL or did you navigate to us via iTunes (Search iTunes Store for “Geek Muse”)?
Regardless, iTunes shouldn’t crash, no matter what. Also, on the blog, if you go to “How do I subscribe?” on the sidebar, there’s a small link to validate the feed and it still shows valid.
In a crunch, if you have flash installed, you can always listen to the latest episodes from the blog (top of the sidebar).
Problem solved (via e-mail)
Removing and re-adding the feed worked. I’m thinking this was a cache problem and possibly could have been fixed using the ‘reload feed’ trick in iTunes:
– Click on the triangle to collapse the feed
– Hold down Option on the Mac or Ctrl on Windows and click on the icon again
iTunes will reload the feed.
